sims 3 wont save

My Sims 3 game won't save. It keeps loading, but nothing happens. No error message or anything. Haven't done this before until recently. I've downloaded a house from Sims 3 store, but I have been able to save that game several times. 

Now it doesn't matter which game I try to load, nothing will save. I play Sims 3 Paradise Island and have installed Roaring Heights. 

Can you help me?

@sarahhulbaek  Does your computer run Windows or macOS?  Is OneDrive or iCloud, respectively, running, whether you use it or not, and how full is it?

Please also let me know how much RAM Sims 3 is using when you can't save your progress.  You can put the game in windowed mode and then open the Task Manager (Windows) or the Activity Monitor (macOS) and see the memory use of just the game.
