sims 3 pets wont reinstall

I accidently deleted my sims 3 pets and now want to reinstall it but all its doing is asking if I want to completely uninstall the game, I say yes and when it says it has been completed I try again but it asks me the exact the same question, how can I fix this? really love sims pets and now I cant even play it.

If you delete the pets file by accident, there' probably still entries in the registry.

Make sure all is gone, following instructions here: https://help.ea.com/en/article/the-sims-3-pets-manual-uninstall/

Then reinstall.
