"The Sims 4 is not installed"- Origin Problem

The sims 4 has been working fine until the last update. I updated the sims 4 on steam and when I try to open in origin says "The sims 4 does not appear to be installed", when it is. I tried deleting it and reinstalling it still says the same thing. Help?

(I bought sims 4 on steam)

@simlene does it also not open through Steam ?

Did you reinstall the game or also Origin ?
