And by resetting my computer I just restarted it and deleted everything mostly that I thought cause the problem, and I also re-formatted my hard drive

@JadaWadaG  Did you try playing in a new admin user account?  If that doesn't or didn't work, please let me know what antivirus you use.

im on mac so i dont have CTRL + ALT + DELETE so what do i do

It would be helpful if you listed your specs in that post: everything under About This Mac except for the serial number.

so i have moved to the new EA app and it is working fine until one day I opened up my laptop and the shortcut at the bottom of the screen for the sims said it had been moved or changed when I clicked on it, and it offered for me to delete it so i did, then i went to the EA app and it said the sims is already running, I checked my anti virus avast but it says that TS4_x64.exe is an allowed app. I also cant follow the windows 10 folder tutorial because I have a newer version of Windows what do I do? help please

@hbfvdv3gsfpt  Windows 11 is very similar to 10, so most guides written with 10 in mind should also work with 11.  If there's a specific step that you can't complete, please let me know what it is, and post a screenshot of what you're seeing.
