"Sims 4 Not Responding"

So, the problem is that when i enter TS4, 1. its not on fullscreen which i HATE. 2. It loads, it shows EA, and Maxis, and Sims4 and everything but then when the plumbob loading screen came up, it keeps on saying, "Sims 4 Not Responding." I have already checked for updates, the button under it (i forgot xD) and reinstalled. Ive played for a total of 164 hours (its not weird) and this happened right after i downloaded the get to work expansion pack. I have wasted a total of $130 on this game, and im very disappointed.
