played the Sims 4 before, now the video card doesn't meet requirements?

★★★★★ Novice

I just spent $95 today actually buying the sims 4. I played it for about 20 minutes after I got it, then had to go to work. I've also played it in the past. About 2 months ago or so. I haven't changed anything on my machine but I went to boot the game just now and it said that my video card didn't meet the minimum specifications. I have an Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000 and a NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M showing up for my graphics adapters. Both have fully updated driver software and the game still won't load! How do I fix this?

This is another "Origin in-game" issue, they really need to work on things like this.

Disable "Origin In-game" in your options on origin, this will fix the problem.

Hero
  1. Could you do an Origin report and put the id here: http://help.ea.com/en/article/how-to-use-origin-error-reporting/
  2. Once you've done that, try to turn off Origin in game to see if it then works: http://sims4.crinrict.com/en/2014/09/deactivate-origin-in-game/ (as mentioned above)
