@novababy25 Please use these guides to clearing Origin's cache and uninstalling Origin "the hard way" to remove all Origin-associated files from your computer.
https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/faq/clear-cache-to-fix-problems-with-your-games/
https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/origin/origin/manually-uninstalling-origin/
Restart your computer, then download the full Origin installer, and run it as an admin: right-click on the download and select "Run as administrator." This is a direct download link:
http://download.dm.origin.com/origin/live/OriginSetup.exe
If you still get the error, you may need to install components of the VC++ 2015 runtimes, or replace the ones you already have installed. Hit Windows key-i, select Apps, scroll down to Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable, click on both the x86 and x64 entries (if you have them), and select Uninstall. You can download new copies here. Be sure to install both the x86 and x64 versions.

Restart your computer, and try to install Origin, again using the full installer.
If you get a different error at any point, i.e. not the update to Windows 7 one, please post a screenshot so I can see it.

@novababy25 Are you downloading Origin through the website, or trying to install it via disc?

hey I appreciate any help! I been trying to download this game all day but frst I tried to download it straight from the website that didn't work so I went to Walmart and bought the actual sims 4 disk thinking I wasn't going to need origin to install it that way but that's not working either

Will this method remove my save files?
April 2020
@sarahdodds25 If you're asking about my earlier posts, then no, nothing I mentioned should have any effect on your save files. Your saves are stored in the Sims 4 folder in Documents\Electronic Arts, along with the rest of your user data. But it's a good idea to back up this folder regularly anyway, especially when you're messing around with your system. Even though it's unlikely that anything will get deleted, making a backup copy is easy.

@sarah200101 Please post a screenshot of the error you're seeing. Please also run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.
