I have been playing sims 4 on the EA app for a month now but just yesterday my game randomly got problems launching. I get into the app but when I click on play on the sims 4 app it looks like its going to launch but then it just takes me back to the app. I read some of others questions here and one said the solution was to download origin and at first it helped because my sims 4 game then launched but after 1 time it wouldnt launch again. I have tried for a whole day now to fix it but i just cant figure out how.

@maja98231 As a test, please try playing in a clean user folder. Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, if it launches, a clean folder will spawn with no content. (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you moved but temporarily not read by the game.) Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just let me know whether you can get far enough to start a new save and play in live mode for a bit.
If this doesn't help, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.

And if you see any error messages, please post a screenshot.

@maja98231 Don't delete the folder on your desktop unless you want to lose all your saves and everything else you've created in-game. Instead, start moving the files inside to the new Sims 4 folder. Start with any mods or custom content you have, and if the game stops working again, use the 50/50 method to sort through the content:
https://modthesims.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:Finding_Problem_Custom_Content#The_50.25_Method
Once you've sorted through your mods and cc, you can add back anything else you want to keep. Any files the game has regenerated, leave in place, for example keep the new options.ini instead of reusing the old one. Here's a description of everything in the user folder:
