my sims 4 game is running slow

My game is running slow and I don't know why. I have a lot of the expansion, game and stuff packs and around 1GB of cc. I have a lot of storage on my computer and my proccessor is i7 (I  have a laptop) but I have no idea why its running so slow. Can someone please help me?

This only applies if your sims are celebrating or have recently celebrated Winterfest.  So if that's not the case, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.

need help big time. i have plenty of ram and a decent gcard and my frames are capped at 30 when the same day. my game was running at 150 on ultra.

@zSDishonest  Sure, feel free to send me a dxdiag.  Please first try playing while your computer has no internet connection though.  (Sign into Origin, put it in offline mode, then disable wifi and/or unplug the ethernet cable before launching the game.)  Even though this isn't a good solution, it's helpful info.
