my sim is not going home and one of my sims co workers is dead and idk wat to do

my sim went to work then one of my sims co workers died of old age and the grim reaper didn't show up and my sims are still mourning and waiting for the grim reaper to show up and idk wat to do i've tried both of cheats and one of the cheats worked and idk wat else to do. Please help me.

maybe if you go to household management and the sim is still in their household you could try deleting them? or see if you can reset the dead sim or something. I don't know much about this
