my code won't redeem

So I'm trying to install the Sims 3 base game on my Mac. I used to have the game on my PC. However, when I try to redeem the code it says it's already been used so I can't install it. My sister had already installed and uninstalled the game on her own origin account. Does this mean that I can't use it?

@Mads1823  Are you trying to use a code that is already redeemed to an Origin account? Is that account for a pc? Once a code is redeemed that code is locked to that account. Are you using the Origin account you used before?
