I bought a SSD card and want to put Sims 4 onto it. I've copied the files over, I've told Origin to load from there, I've renamed the old folders. Yet it keeps loading from the c:/ somehow.
I followed this link, which said to "Run the following command (with the relevant old and new locations, in that order): mklink /D "C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\" "D:\Games\Origin\Games"" but that hasn't seemed to have worked. It's put a shortcut link on the folder, which links to itself.
When I load the TS4.exe file from the new location (I:\Origin Games\The Sims 4\Game\Bin), Origin loads. But it wants me to download the game.
Origin > Application Settings > Advanced Downloaded Games points to > I:\Origin Games Game Installers points to > I:\Origin Games\Download\cache

I think you have to let it download 1 time after you move it. It should be really quick.
