installing sims island paradise

I just bought sims 3 island paradise on origin and when i try to install it into my brand new 16gb flashdrive it says that my flashdrive  only has 14.89gb and that it needs 14.9. i also tried my brand new 4gb one and it said it needed 3.74gb and the flashdrive had 3.6gb.

Its not recommended to put the game on a flashdrive. See this thread http://forum.thesims3.com/jforum/posts/list/680837.page

And Island Paradise is an expantion pack, it will not play unless you own the base sims 3 game.

And the game has system requirements

the expansion pack should be download to your computer to the default drive C , why would need to do this onto a flash drive  flashdrive ? is your computer a  mac  lap top ? and your running out of room ?
