how do i register my product code for the The Sims™ 3 Seasons that i brought from Amazon.com Black Friday sale

i have the product code and file on my computer but i have to have it downloaded by Origin and i keep getting a message saying that it is having technical difficultys i ve been trying all night and all morning  . i have to leave for work now but i would really like to get my gameloaded
