how do I get the new sims 4 content patch?

Hi, I still can't figure out why my game doesn't have the new content patch from April! It's set to auto-update through Origin, and I went into my game settings to force an update but it said my game was up to date? I definitely don't have any new content though? 

If it matters, I only have base and pets!

could you check your game Version: https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/2018/07/how-to-find-your-game-version-number/

It should be 1.51.77

If it is, try repairing your game through Origin (right-click on the game and choose repair)

Thank you for your suggestions! My game version is 1.51.77.1020. I tried to repair the game via origin and then followed that with forcing the update again but nothing happened, and origin still says its up to date.

Do you think uninstalling and reinstalling would help? It takes a long time so I'm trying to avoid it but I can.

That is up-to-date.

Are you missing the freelancer career as well or just the objects ?

Any mods/cc in your game ?

Sorry for the belated reply, I don't always have internet in the town I live in! I don't have the freelancer career or any of the new content at all. No mods or CC!

Try resetting your user files as described in the factory reset described in this post: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4/FAQ-Troubleshooting-Steps-amp-Known-Issues/m-p/3621199

You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files  and make a backup.

After renaming, repair your game by right clicking on the game in Origin.

Try on a new game with nothing added back first (start new game). If it works, put back your save game and try again. If it still works, you can start putting stuff back.

• Options.ini (or just re-set all your settings manually)
• Tray Folder
• Screenshots/Videos/Custom music
• Rest of the save games (leave out slot_00000001.save which is the autosave and no longer needed - if you still have it)
• Custom content like clothing, hair, skins, make up ....
• Mods (one by one, making sure they all still work)

The rest does not need putting back, cause they are mostly cache files that recreate or log files that are not needed for the game.
