getting past installation

the furthest I can get with putting the sims 3 on my system is, installing the game to origin and that is it.

I can not install the game from origin as the install shield wizard will not work, but

I can install the game through Computer - Program Files (x86) - Origin Games - The Sims 3 - _installer - Sims3Setup (that is an ISW that will work) but then it still says to install on the origin client and the icon on the main computer is broken (i.e. will not work and says it can't find a run item)

Does InstallShield give any error? If it does can you please tell what error it gives?

I have no errors when I run the ISW through the computer files, but when it comes to running the game through the main icon on windows that is broken.

Might be something blocking it. Try adding The Sims 3 to DEP.

I have tried that but still nothing, the ISW will still not work.

Delete  the Installshield folder  - C:\ Windows \ SysWOW64 \ InstallShield 

Press the start button and on search type in cmd, when it's opened, type in:   sfc /scannow  (just like it's written)

It will restore the folder and might help you.
