freezing sims 3

I added diesel and I started having error 13 on saving plays and it freezes when in play but the green diampond is still spinning please tell me what going on I gave my computer more virtual memory and I don't know what else to do

Haven't head of error 13 in a while.

What operating system are you on ? How much RAM do you have ? Have you tried the tips here :
