How do I fix my sims 4 thats telling me to relaunch my game?

I have the same problem and I don't know what a mod or cc is, so cannot check?! It's so frustrating... the game was fine, the update has stopped the game working and I have uninstalled and reinstalled it. Will try to restore the game to factory settings.

@audiofairy  If the restore to factory settings doesn't help, please post back, and describe what's happening when you try to play: when does it stop working, do you see an error code, etc.

This is what has been happening for the past two days with the sims. I have attached images to show, I cannot load my family and I get an error code and told to relaunch the game. I’ve already updated all of my packs and the game itself, I don’t use mods either.

@crinrict Now there is an issue with Origin. Everytime I go onto Origin it downloads the game and all the expansion packs, the update is complete but when I go to press play, it tells me downloads are in progress, but nothing is downloading 🤯
