empty dialouge sims 4 expansion packs

Recently downloaded expanion packs such as spa day, get together and get to work, the gameplay works fine, but where the dialouge should be, there is just blank spaces so i cant actually read what sims are saying relating to each expansion pack, i can only go to the lots and see pictures. Please help! dont want to have wasted money, thanks x
