I cannot launch SIM 4 even after I tried to reinstall origin, and tried to repair the game for several times

Do you have any Mods or CC? If so move your Mods folder to the Desktop and delete localthumbcache.package. Then test the game.

If it works now check for updates to your Mods and CC. Add it back a little at a time while testing until you have found all that are broken.

@jpkarlsen I am having the same issue and have no mods. I have repaired and uninstalled and re-installed via origin several times. I have the most up-to-date version of Origin. I have restarted my computer. Still the same error message.

Even though I don’t have any Mods, I tried what you suggested, and I can’t move the Mods folder. I get the error message shown in the attached screenshot. 

Also, the only file in my Mods folder is something that says “Resource.cfg.”

Hey there, I am facing the same problem here. I am unable to launch or start the game, and I did not download any mods. I re-downloaded twice, repaired it numerous times, restarted my computer, but it still doesn't work.

@n3ver_ice Are you using any mods/cc ? Did you try removing those ? Lots are broken with the current patch
