counter glitch

Hey I brought the sims 4 4 days ago now and everytime I try to play a new house I cannot place anything on the counters infact I now cant even select them. I have no cc in my game. iv tried repairing the game several times im on my 3rd uninstall and reinstall iv reset the files. im at my wits end does anyone know how to fix this or is there a mod I can download the will override the issue. thanks

No mod will fix the issue for you. In fact it may cause it. You write that you have no CC but do you have any mods?

no I don't have any mods its a completely fresh game.

What kind of things do you want to place on the counters? Could you share a screenshot?

I cant place sinks microwaves or any kitchen clutter and as soon as the game re downloads ill up load it. The items just go red and dont click i cant even make them go on with moveobjects cheat
