i know you can use a USB hard drive to download the sims, but all of the actually files, (documents/electronic arts folder), is technically still on your computer and takes up space. i dont have enough space on my computer to add cc to my game, is there a way that i could somehow, "run" and play the game from something like an external hard drive, or do those files HAVE to be on my computer in order for the game to work?

The Game itself can be moved to an external drive. However your Documents folder can not.. It is the game itself that takes up most space not the personal files under Documents\Electronic Arts.
