application has been blocked from accessing graphics hardware

How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? cats and dogs, city living, get together, get to work, parenthood, vampires, dine out, outdoor retreat, toddler stuff, vintage glamour stuff, backyard stuff, kids room stuff, movie hangout stuff, spooky stuff, perfect patio stuff, holiday celebration stuff
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? go into create-a-pet and click on the Alaskan malamute
What happens when the bug occurs? half the screen will become the grass and the game will freeze and my computer will come up with a notification saying that the application has been blocked from accessing graphics hardware, I then have to restart my computer (i have to use the power button because it will not let me use the windows key on my keyboard, I have a laptop if it helps)
What do you expect to see? the Alaskan malamute
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

I have tried updating and repairing my game, and I am using the proper systems (64-bit and windows 10 in a 64-bit compatible format), my computer does need to be updated so I'm not sure if that could be causing this issue.
