You already have all the games in this order

★★★★ Novice

I want to buy the Into the Future expansion pack through Origin but it gives me "You already have all the games in this order."  Google search tells me their was a bug in February but I have to assume its fixed by now.  Any ideas?  Everything is up to date and can buy the other expansions without issue, just not the one I want.

@mountiezane  Try clearing Origin's cache, and if that doesn't work, uninstalling and reinstalling Origin itself, which wouldn't affect your installed games.

I'm guessing you've never bought ITF before, but if you originally owned a copy and EA deactivated the pack for some reason, then there would be a block on your account preventing you from buying or registering it again.  This is simple enough to resolve, but you'd need to contact EA customer support to get the block lifted.

Thanks for replying. I've tried both with no change. I also contact EA and was told its probably an account related issue but wouldn't tell me how long it would take to fix. So I'm sort of left hanging.

@mountiezane  If the account issue is the one I mentioned, EA support should be able to resolve it in real time.  At the very least, you should be able to get an explanation of the problem.  If you're not getting anywhere with one rep, you can always "walk away" from the conversation and try again later, hopefully with someone else.  It might also help to pick a different category of issue when you're navigating the help platform—some categories have more knowledgeable people answering questions than others.

Apparently a 'known' issue that they're working on and should be fixed 'pretty soon'

The Sims 3 OriginDownload Error - "you already have all the games in this order"

★★★★ Novice

I am trying to purchase The Sims 3 - University Life, Into the Future, Island Paradise and Town Life Stuff but every time I click the "Buy Now $19.99" button I get a pop up message that says "you already have all the games in this order"

I have purchased many other sims 3 expansion & stuff packs and they all work perfectly. I have never purchased or even tried to purchase University Life, Into the Future, Island Paradise or Town Life Stuff before so I'm not sure why I'm receiving this error.

Origin seems to think that I own these games but then doesn't give me any option to download them so it makes no sense..
I have cleared my cache, uninstalled and re installed, tried to contact EA but was left with no answers.

I am thinking of buying a physical copy from my local game store but am worried that when I come back to add the game manually it is going to say the same thing.

I found someone with the same issue back in Feb but cannot find any solutions.

Any ideas?? I really want to play these games!!

@keeleymillerr  I moved your second post into this thread, as it appears to be the same issue that the OP has.  (You don't need to make multiple posts—someone almost always sees and responds.)  You can try the same steps I suggested to the OP, namely clearing Origin's cache, uninstalling and reinstalling Origin, and contacting EA customer support, just to make sure that there isn't an easy fix.  But if none of this works, please post back saying so, and I'll try to find someone from EA who can help you further.

Just to add my experience, I followed the steps mentioned above, as well as contacting EA support.  They reiterated the point above, that it was a problem affecting multiple users and it would be addressed soon.  However, my case is slightly different as I'm given a different screen when trying to purchase Island Paradise or Into the Future (though Showtime works as intended, oddly.)  I'm told "You already have 1 game in this order." and am given the option to "Cancel" or "Purchase anyway."  Clicking "purchase anyway" takes me to the checkout screen, but I'm hesitant to go through with the purchase in case it adds it as a gift or something and fails to link it to my account.
