November 2020
Hi,
I recently bought a world bundle on Origin. The bundle includes Monte Vista and Hidden Springs. I received the codes and had to enter them in the sims 3.com. After I click download on the sims 3.com, the world's appear in the sims3launcher. When I install the worlds in the launcher, they appear in my installed content. When I start the game, the worlds aren't in the game. When I stop the game, the worlds are also not in my installed content anymore. Does anyone know how I get the worlds in the game? EA support hasn't been able to help me with this problem. Sorry for my English, I hope the problem is clear. Thanks!

@KyrCoe As a test, try installing one of the worlds in a clean user folder. Move your entire Sims 3 folder out of Documents\Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and open the launcher to create a new folder. Download one of the worlds from its store page:
https://store.thesims3.com/montevista.html?categoryId=12642
https://store.thesims3.com/hiddenSprings.html?categoryId=12642
Install it and see if it's available in-game. Let me know either way.
Please also let me know whether it would be a pain to reinstall all your other store content. There are two different approaches to fixing this issue, depending on whether it's easier to reinstall everything or to move some files around instead.

thanks for replying, but another problem showed up. I can't log in anymore in the sims3launcher. So I can't download the world form thesims3.com, because if you are not logged in in the launcher, you can't install.

@KyrCoe You shouldn't need to be signed into the launcher to download content. I never sign in unless I'm testing the function, and I can always download content just fine. If you're getting an error when downloading content, try deleting the file in Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads labeled [your email].bin.
For the launcher login issue itself, try clearing the cache for Internet Explorer. Even if you never use it, the launcher does for some purposes. Be sure to uncheck the box to preserve data for favorite sites.

If that doesn't help, change your password to something with only letters and numbers, no special characters, accents, etc. Then clear IE's cache again.

I SOLVED THIS!
Check your email for the Order Confirmation from EA. In the receipt, it will have the Redeem Code for the game. Go to sims website and log into your sims 3 account, redeem the code - then install into your game by going to your purchase history in your sims 3 account. THERE IT INSTALLS!!!!

For anyone reading this going forward, we have a master thread for issues redeeming or installing Store worlds:
