Will this Laptop play the sims 4?

★ Novice

I was looking at this laptop which is currently on sale at Walmart:

HP Pavilion 15.6" FHD, AMD Ryzen 7-5700U, 8GB RAM, 512GB SSD, Horizon Blue, Windows 10, 15-eh1070wm

Does anyone know if it will run the sims 4 and some expansion packs smoothly?

@bpfsvh1mosam  There are actually a few gaming laptops available for $700 or less, although choice is certainly limited.  For example, these are $600:

The Lenovo should run a little cooler and significantly quieter, not that the MSI is excessively loud with headphones, but you'd notice if you were using speakers.  Of course, the Lenovo is also larger, which may or may not matter to you.  The graphics card should run all current Sims 4 packs together on ultra settings, with the Lenovo's GPU being a little faster.  Both of these laptops also have only half the storage of the other one you linked.  256 GB is more than enough for Sims 4, all packs included, plus saves, screenshots, and a large pile of custom content, but you might have trouble fitting multiple equally expansive games on the drive.

These are $700 and have a graphics card that's significantly faster than the ones in the above models:

There's almost no difference between the two Lenovo models, only that the one with the AMD processor will probably run a little cooler.  (I'm listing both in case one is easier to get than the other.)  The Intel model shouldn't overheat or anything and would still likely run cooler than the other two.  The Asus has a slightly faster GPU than the others, but they're all a bit of overkill for Sims 4.  The Asus is also the only model with 512 GB storage, although again, you'd be fine with 256 GB if Sims 4 was the only data taking up significant space.

@bpfsvh1mosam  This laptop's hardware should be able to run Sims 4 on at least medium-high or high graphics settings, depending on your playstyle and preferences as well as which and how many expansions you install.  (It's fine to experiment with the settings until you get a good balance of quality and performance.)  The laptop is also a very reasonable price, so if you like it, I don't see any reason not to get it.

In terms of performance, you won't do better unless you buy a gaming laptop.  I can look for some of those for you, but they'll be a little more expensive and a lot bulkier.  If you're interested, feel free to ask.  Otherwise, this is a perfectly good option for what you want it to do.

I apologize for the late response, but thank you very much for the information! I would love to get a gaming laptop if it would help the graphics any at all, but unfortunately I think my budget is too limited. I'd like to, if at all possible, keep my budget under 700$.
