Hi I'm looking to move back to PC Sims as I don't get enough time with the ps4. Can anyone tell me if either of these laptops are any good? I'm in NZ but don't want to be paying any more than $1200 if I can help it.
Or
For all i know they could be the same lol.
Thanks in advance for the help.

@JaimeR84 One has an AMD processor and one has an Intel processor. I have a concern that both have a 256Gb ssd for storage and no data device. IMO this is not enough space for a gaming computer. The Sims game have expansion packs that will consume the limited space on the supplied storage device. The price of ssd storage has come down where I would recommend a minimum 500Gb device should be used as the size of today's games continue to get larger.

As I am on the other side of the world I cannot vouch for anything I put below but have you shopped around?
Harvey Norman are not always the cheapest in my experience and you can find better deals online a lot of the time. one I found is below
According to their website this laptop comes with 8gb ram with an additional slot to upgrade, a 480gb ssd with an additional ssd/hdd upgrade slot
and all within your budget.
May be worth checking out

@JaimeR84 While the HP has a 1Tb data drive, the idea situation is to install the game to the data drive. Doing this you loose some (most) of the benefits of the ssd. The HP is using integrated graphics which is not truly desirable in a gaming computer. The AMD A9-9425 cpu is not the latest technology. The Ryzen chip is the latest AMD cpu line. The AMD APU uses DDR 3 memory while the newer Ryzen users DDR 4. The AMD APU divides the cpu clock between active cores. While that laptop shou;d run the sims game IMO that is over priced for old technology.

@Plankton027 The acer you refer to has newer technology and a larger ssd but lacks a dedicated video chip. The AMD Integrated Radeon Vega 8 Graphics should give medium performance for the sims games but as expansion packs get more complex a medium level dedicated gpu (graphics processor unit) should perform better.

OK so I looked online, would this one be more suitable?
Sorry for being a pain. I just don't want to waste my money on something that won't be suitable.

@roberta591I couldnt agree more, unfortunately operating within a budget almost always means you have to find a compromise and that is normally
screen size, gpu or processor.
The option I listed was within the 1200 dollar budget and would be ready to go out of the box but as you say with integrated graphics which are not ideal.
The next verson up would be as below (and would be my choice out of the two for around this price range) but would mean breaking the budget by an extra 300 dollars
which is a lot but in my personal opinion worth saving for.
I am sure there are even better deals to be found in NZ but I am very wary of recommending any online shopping sites in a country I have never ordered from.
The point of my post was to shop around and take your time before buying, google the suppliers for reviews because I tend to find that you can always find a
small hidden gem from smaller suppliers instead of always ordering from the larger retail chains.

@JaimeR84Same issue with that from what i can see is integrated graphics, also from the reviews I have read the screen quality is quite poor, its primarily a business laptop from what I can tell..
