Why won't my sims 4 game load?

I am actually also having some issues getting the game to work but i dont have any mods or anything attached to the game. what happens is, it goes through the maxis screen then it turns white and stays like that. it never loads and the last thing i want to do is reinstall because i bought the pets expansion!

im having the same problem yet my game still wont load after removing the mod folder

You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files  and make a backup.

After renaming, repair your game by right clicking on the game in Origin.

Try on a new game with nothing added back first (start new game). If it works, put back your save game and try again. If it still works, you can start putting stuff back.

• Options.ini (or just re-set all your settings manually)
• Tray Folder
• Screenshots/Videos/Custom music
• Rest of the save games (leave out slot_00000001.save which is the autosave)
• Custom content like clothing, hair, skins, make up ....
• Mods (one by one, making sure they all still work)

The rest does not need putting back, cause they are mostly cache files that recreate or log files that are not needed for the game.

Cool. I’m having the same issue. The game was working fine, I tested a few CC pieces, and went a little overboard and the game no longer loaded so I went and disabled every mod as well as just removed the Mod folder entirely.. game won’t get past the sims 4 screen.. Repaired, nothing. Uninstalled, reinstalled, nothing. This is really frustrating and ridiculous. I know my computer can run this game.

You mentioned uninstalling/reinstalling the game. Did you try running Ccleaner and it's registry cleaner? This cleans out temporary files, old registry files, internet cache files and other files that are left behind that are no longer needed. This does not hurt your computer or it's files. If desired, you can back up your Sims 4 folder to the desktop or a USB key.

After you've done that try playing the game again - without mods or other game saves as a test to see if the game runs okay.

If it doesn't, have you tried updating your graphics drivers?

What happened with me was it got to the loading screen so I click play and it tells me to select world, so I select my household to play on and it keeps loading and wont stop, I left it up for about 30 minutes before I gave up, I tried repairing my game, removing my mods. NOTHING WORKED. someone please help me!

are you using custom content or mods in your game ?

a lot of custom content/mods is outdated and needs updating.

Try removing everything and see if it then loads.

I have like 1000 mods (I aint kidding) and my game wont load and im getting really annoyed and ive tried without mods and it works what can i do???!!! This has started happening since the new update for the Sims 4 Seasons!!!!!! Plz Plz Plz HELP!!!!!!
