 I had it too, it's not in the sims. I had a hole family and then the game just suddenly shutted off!

Yup, happening to me too.  Don’t  know anything about Vsyn in options.  Can you tell me more and how to adjust?  Thanks for your help in this matter

Check that it is not overheating. Very common with laptops placed where they can not get sufficient airflow or the ventilation has become clogged.
