What happened to caterers in Sims 4?

I was in the habit of hiring a caterer a few times a week to cook quality meals for my larger families in The Sims 4. The leftovers stocked in the fridge saved a ton of time. But after the most recent update, the option to hire a caterer is completely gone in all houses, in all neighborhoods! I hosted a couple of parties in an effort to hire a caterer through those options, but no caterer showed up.

Anyone else experiencing this issue? Are caterers no longer part of the game? I have searched and searched with no answers...

You can hire a caterer through the stove instead with 'hire staff'.

If that doesn't fix the issue, do you have any mods or custom content (CC)?

Could you try taking that out.

Im having the exact same issue. Option gone from fridge and stove. Strangly I can hire a chef if I have the food bar.

I only just found out that i could'nt get a caterer 2 days ago. I was abit upset because it was a big rich family and i dont have the glamor pack yet so i could'nt get the butler...

I am having that issue too. How do we fix it?

I can no longer hire a caterer either from clicking on the stove or fridge. I can only hire them if I plan a social event.

i do not have any game mods and i cannot hire a caterer since the last update

Not at all or not from the fridge (that's a bug) ? Can you hire them for parties ?
