We're unable to connect to EA servers to activate The Sims 4

I bought The Sims 4 twelve hours ago and the message "We're unable to connect to EA servers to activate The Sims 4 on this computer using your account." pops up with every attempted launch; whether as the admin, using offline mode, or just the regular boot I couldn't play the game. I had searched through many forums for a solution and all of them have failed. 

 

These are the things I had tried:

  • Disabling my firewall
  • Flushing DNS
  • Clean boot 
  • Changing Proxy settings
  • Enabling ports
  • Clear out ram
  • Clear out programs on my computer (just in case some third party program is blocking my connection)
  • Rebooting my computer
  • Reinstalling everything
  • Trying my account using my friend's computer from across the country (WHICH WORKED)

I bought a game from a reliable supplier, Origin, and used my time with a rational expectation for it to work so it would be great if someone can give me a solution.

Try contacting EA, not sure what causes this, might be something wrong with your account:
