Washing Machine not working correctly [ Edited ]

Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.63.134.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? to wash clothes in a washing machine
What happens when the bug occurs? The sims takes the clothes to the laundry machine and puts them in. There is no option to wash the clothes. It either says take them out and sit them down or the laundry disappears when it goes in
What do you expect to see? Clothes wash normally
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. This started happening after the eco lifestyle patch and game were installed

Thanks for the reply. It turned out to be the lot I was living on 8n brindleton bay. Not sure what happened but when I moved to a new lot the washer worked fine.

I get this in my game from this week. It has happened on 2 lots and the only fix I found was selling and buying a new washing machine and upgrading it. I tried not upgrading and it didn't seem to matter.
