So I've been following this post: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues-PC/the-sims-4-error-code-135dec40-984c6a38-00000077/td-p/...
I have followed all the steps but I am still having the same issue. Have uninstalled and reinstalled both origin and Sims 4 and no change.
If anyone could provide any help that be amazing as I really want to play the Eco Lifestyle pack.
Thanks.

@BoganBuoy Is your computer a pc or mac? There are several issues that can cause this error.
1. Your antivirus is blocking Origin from communicating - make sure the game is allowed through the firewall if you are using another antivirus.
2 The game and Origin need to be on the same storage device. If you changed the default install location make sure you installed both to the same device (default is C: for pc)
3. Make sure you have enough free space on your system storage device (normally C: for pc).
If the above looks good please post your dxdiag if you have a pc and attach the txt file to the paper clip in the lower right of the forum response window.

@BoganBuoy The thread you linked has useful tips, but it predates Windows 10, and perhaps more relevantly, Windows 10's Controlled Folder Access. Try disabling that first; if you like having it active, you can add exceptions later. Here's how to reach the settings:
https://crinrict.com/blog/2019/03/windows-10-defender-controlled-folder-access.html
If that doesn't help, please try anything else listed here that you haven't already done:
https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/2014/09/unable-to-start-initialization-error-at-startup/
And make sure you're adding TS4_x64.exe as an exception, that is if you're running the standard edition of Sims 4. TS4.exe is only for the Legacy Edition.
If none of this makes a difference, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.
