A few months back I was experiencing troubles with my Sims 4 game, every time I would play everything I had done previously erased itself (so when if I created a house and family and saved it, the next time I would play everything would be gone). I went online to fix the problem and one of the forums told me to copy the entire "Sims 4" file in my "Electronic Arts" folder and name it "Sims 4 backup". Since then my computer's storage has filled up and there's limited space. Can I delete either the original "Sims 4" file/folder o the "Sims 4 backup" file/folder too free up space on my laptop without deleting anything important for the game??

You can delete the backup if there is no more you need to restore from it.
