Trouble With Downloading Expansion Packs on to a New Computer.

★★★ Novice

Hello, due to my computer breaking, I had to reinstall origin and Sims on a new computer. Back on the old computer, I had World Adventures and Generations as one of my expansion packs, when I downloaded the game again, I had discovered that I didn't have the expansion packs anymore. Do you have any advice on what to do?

According to your public myPage you only have the base game and a world: http://mypage.thesims3.com/mypage/superwholockian1

Are you sure you don't have the expansions on another account ? If you registered them you can try if you find the email to see which account they were registeted on.

No, sorry, I only have one account. Could it possibly be that it didn't register on the download?

I would contact a Customer Support game advisor for this. They can take a look at your account

Game advisors can be found through live chat.

  1. https://help.ea.com/en/contact-us/
  2. Set your language to US at the bottom
  3. Click on Contact a game advisor
  4. Describe your issue with a few words
  5. Click on Find a Solution
  6. Select Product: ex: The Sims 3 or Origin
  7. Select Issue Type: ex: Billing/Purchasing or Account Management
  8. Select Platform: PC
  9. Click Find solution
  10. Scroll down and click I still need help
  11. Click Chat Now to chat with a Game Advisor

I bought the Pets expansion pack through origin and downloaded it onto my desktop. A few days later I decided I wanted to play Sims on my laptop instead. When I downloaded the expansion pack through "my games" in origin, EA charged me AGAIN. So they charged me twice, was it supposed to do that?
