Hello, I have my C: Drive, D: Drive, and an external hard drive.
I have backed up my Sims 4 folder with my saves, tray, CC and whatnot on my Hard Drive. So that's all safe.
I'm trying to move Sims 4 documents to my D: drive. I've changed where origin saves new games however, every time I start the Sims 4 up, it keeps generating a new folder in my C: Drive in documents > Electronic Arts.
So I replace the backed up folder with all my saves into the C: Drive documents folder and replace that, so now all my saves are loaded when I start up the sims (good), but when I cut and paste that folder to the D: Drive and start up the game, the saves don't show up because it's generating the new sims 4 folder back into the C: Drive.
Yes I have changed the Origin application installation settings to the D: Drive.
I hope this makes sense.
Why isn't it working?

As I wrote earlier Google "How to change location of Documents folder in Windows 10" This leads to a Support article that contains this:
How to Change the My Documents Folder Storage Location
When the properties of the My Documents folder (the desktop icon) are displayed and a group policy has not been established to redirect the folder, you can change the path to the My Documents folder and you can move the contents from the old location to the new location:
