Transfering info from sims3 forum to thesims4

Hello,

For some reason when I logged into the new sims 4 forum my information did not transfer.they forced me to create a new username & told me that my username was taken even though I already had a username, and the username that was taken was under the same origin email account,I see people with badges for being on the furom for like 4 years and I should also have those I can easily look up my old username and when I try to password reset it's just my current origion account,any fix for this?
