Don't think it's related to your issue but try updating your Nvidia card drivers and make sure the game runs on the card and not the chip: https://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4/Setting-Up-a-Graphics-Card-Gaming-Profile/td-p/5704790
If that does not help, could you give some more details what happens ? Do they drop the orders from the queue or just stand around all day ?
