The snow is blue in the sims 3 seasons

My sims are currently living in Lucky Palms (bought in The Sims 3 Store)

In the game it is winter (Sims 3 Seasons) and the snow is blue. 

When I go in buy mode the parts that are blue are the parts that are the desert parts. I don't want to have to change the sand/desert to grass cause Lucky Palms is a desert place.

I don't know why it is blue...but it is.

Do you know why this happens or how to stop it?

It is a PC, Windows 8 Acer.

@CJRultz Is your computer a desktop or laptop? Did you check the monitor connection cable. Please post the model of the Acer.

did you check the graphic card or the display card if it need to update also did you check the c++ package need it's to be updated and plus did you set update automaticly to recive new updated from microsoft
