The sims 3 crashing to desktop black screen but sound windows 7 ultimate [ Edited ]

when i play this game it works for a few hours then all of a sudden crashes to black screen although music still plays and in my task manager says not responding, running windows 7 ultimate, help please

• Does the launcher start?
• Are you getting any error messages?
• How far do you get, try to describe what happens in as much details as possible (without getting too lenghty)
• Do all installed games show up in the Origin client?

• Which Security Software are you using (Firewall, Antivirus)?
• Do you have the disc or download version or a mix?
• Do you have any files with xctp in your documents\electronicarts\thesims3\ folder ? (those are crash logs)?
