The Sims4 save games, disappeared.

I came to play Sims4 this morning, only to find that there were no saves to load and me having to start all over again. Sims has been working perfectly up until this point.

Is there anyway I can get the saves back? Because that's 21 hours of gameplay, gone.

This has helped to an extent: read Derpiez response. - "Files still in save folder"

I managed to get the family back that I made, but unfortunately, it looks like Sims4 did not save when I exited last night. I therefore doubt that there is a save file to recover.
