The Sims Exchange not working with digital copy

On The Sims Exchange, I was trying to download a lot, but couldn't. I tried entering the serial code, but it turned out that since I used my EA account for The Sims Exchange, it already knew that I had bought The Sims 3 digitally. But it still didn't work. This is quite annoying, so if you could help me, that would be wonderful.

Could you explain us what happens when you try to download something? Are you getting any error messages? Does the item download to the launcher, and then you get the error?

If you could post a screenshot of the problem, that would be very helpful
