The Sims 4 won't start. Please help.

Invalid license. Reason code = missing DLL: [d3d9.dll] Error: 0x7E 

This is the error code I'm getting. The game worked fine yesterday. Please help :-(

I gave that a try earlier but it didn't help. I also repaired the game but that didn't work so I uninstalled and it is in the process of redownloading. It is so strange since it worked last night.
