The Sims 4 travel problem

Every time I travel with my sim, say to the bar or the gym, after loading my sim is just standing there on the side walk along with the other sims who should all be inside, and the lot is empty. Is anyone else having this problem? And how do i fix it???

@beccadoodle9393 Empty as in there are no Sims in it or empty as in there's no furniture in it ?

yes, as in no furniture or anything at all just an empty lot. i think it has something to do with the way my game had saved because i went to a game i had saved a couple days ago and that one is perfectly fine.
