The Sims 4 origin/installation help

I did what It's telling me to do but when I click the "download" button, it says "preparing download or installation" but it just stays like that. While it's doing that, it opens another origin tab for some strange reason. But the other origin tab doesn't show up. And whenever I close that one, it stops the download!! Please, I need help. I just want to play the game.
