I am unable to get my Sims 4 to launch on PC. Specs attached.....
The game was working some time ago but I recently returned to it and now it won't start. I am able to launch origin, but when I click play nothing happens. So far I have tried:
- updating graphics driver
- clearing caches
- moving the game folder to the desktop
- excepting the folder from antivirus
- uninstalling and re-installing the game
- uninstalling and re-installing Origin
- using the can I run this tool (no problems found)
No problems are found in dxdiag (report attached)
I have all the expansions but can't even run the base game on its own. Please help!

@DebinOz Your dxdiag lists a number of failed Windows updates, so many that there isn't much else in the error reports. So it's a good idea to start with a couple of basic checks of your Windows system files:
Restart your computer, hit Windows key-i, select Update & Security, and click the button to check for updates. If there are a number pending, it may take a few tries, with restarts in between, to get them all to run.
Please also clear Origin's cache and then uninstall it "the hard way." This shouldn't affect your installed games.

Download the full Origin installer, and run it as an admin: right-click on the download and select "Run as administrator." This is a direct download link:

Restart again and try to play. If you still can't, please try the other steps listed in the first post of this thread:
And if you can't play even after that, please run a new dxdiag, so I can look for any new errors.
