The Sims 4 Get to Work- My sim can't return home

I was on another lot with another Sim and took a picture with said Sim. I couldn't take a photo of them, the screen was all grey. When I tried to return home I couldn't. I went to my phone and some options were greyed out saying 'cannot do this while taking photos'. I have tried to take so many different photos and I have reset my Sim so many times and nothing is working. Please help!!
