The Sims 3 - Generations

After installing Generations over late night expansion pack, I opened up the launcher to play the game. 

The launcher is missing the heading, backdrop and most importantly, the Play Button. 

I have un-installed all expansion and original and reinstalled all of them on PC and MAC. 

I returned the game to EA games and received another copy, however the same problem is occurring. 

It has been 2 months since I bought the game and I still haven't made it work. I have recently gotten rid of my PC, so my question is...

How can I play my Sims 3 Generations? Is their a bypass around the Launcher on MAC?

I have tried updating the game and looked at online forums with no prevail.

Did you move any user files over ?

Don't know how to bypass but there should be a file ts3w somewhere I would guess on macs too that you can start by double clicking.

This did not work at all, The problem is still apparent.

Any other suggestions?

I have also searched my Mac for a file named 'ts3w'

so far it does not exist

Not sure for which version you were after, so I posted for all four.

The problem only occurs after the installation of Generations

Original Sims 3 - 1.21.123.011002

Sims 3 - Fast Lane - 5.0.44.008001

Sims 3 - Late Night - 6.0.81.009001

Sims 3 - Generations - 8.0.152.011001

You're not patched very far. 1.21 is your version. I think it didn't have a ts3w.exe back then. It would be just ts3.exe

I would try to patch the game though.

You need the super patch for Region 2. 

Make sure to read the instructions.

Why do i need a patch for a game i buy in store?

isnt it just suppose to work when you install it like a normal game?
