I've been playing TS4 just fine until yesterday when I went to launch the game. It said it needed to update, so I clicked update. It updated successfully but when I clicked play it said it needed to be updated. It has been doing this cycle over and over. I have restarted my computer and restarted origin with no fix. What can I do?

Try deleting Origin cache files and restart your computer: http://sims4.crinrict.com/en/2014/09/delete-origin-cache-files/

if Slot_00000001.save (any number) have 1KB size then delete

try to move Slot_00000001.save and Slot_00000002.save to other folder.
and rename
Slot_00000001.save.ver4 Slot_00000002.save.ver4
in
Slot_00000001.save Slot_00000002.save
