Here is the story:
I installed the expansion a couple of day ago and everything went smoothly. I played the whole day yesterday and everything seemed to work fine until i arrived at the Distopia dimension. about five minutes into the game it went black for a few second but then the image reapered and I continued playing for about 45min after she had her baby (in dystopia) i decide to move her back to the present. A few minuted of game time in the present and the game crashed to my desktop.
The issue:
Today i havent being able to play more than a few minutes. The game keeps crashing making my computer restart (not to desktop). The blue screen of death shows up saying that the computer had to shut down to avoid damage and then it restarts normally.
What have I done so far:
I removed the Mods folder and deleted the caches (includind the World ones), tried playing and it worked for about 20minutes in buy mode before it crashed again.

Also you're graphics drivers are 3 years old. Try updating them, maybe lowering graphical settings since you're chip is below minimal specs.
Could be that dystopia is more demanding on the graphics with all the meteors going on.
Good Luck

This very much sounds like a hardware issue

- Make sure that your computer is not overheating. Check your temperature
- Run a hardware check to see if everything is ok.
Ran a Hardware test and beside some missing drivers for Bluetooth device it seems to be alright.
There has been a new development. (I might have done something stupid)
The game crashed to desktop this time so I tried changing the DEP settings (like suggested on a thread for this issue) and tried playing the game again. This time the game didnt crash but it kept freezing and showing a black screen for about a second.
Freezes every 2 minutes, quite annoyig.
ps: game is up to date with the patchs

I think the problem has to do with the game.
I mentioned that it started when I activated the Dystopia Timeline, well I manage to turn the future back to normal and the game froze a couple of times after that but no crashing. Now ive being playing for 45min or so and there has being no black screen, no freezing, and no crashing. I dont know why having the dystopia timeline activated affects the game while playing it in the present but that's my guess.
Gonna activate the Utopia timeline next see what happens.

The game continues to crash. Skipping the launcher seems to help.

Just in dystopia or utopia too ? Or normal future ?
Did you update your drivers ?

There is no driver update available.
Right now im 'playing' in the present with the normal future.

Did you check the website or through auto-update ? Many manufacturers stop giving you graphic card updates after a while. I would check the website of the card.
Did you also do that temperature check ? Did you un-do DEP ?

You were right. I downloaded some drivers and the game has work fine since. The only problem that i have now is that meteors keep falling every night even though im playing in the Utopia timeline.
